Founded in 1996, Chris Duckworth started cutting grass for FBC Cobden. This lead to a great summer job through High school. In 2012, he and his wife laura had their first child, named cooper.
Chris decided to work hard enough for cooper to have something when he turned 18.
duckworks is what it is today because of the dedication and hard work over the last 20+ years.

Turf Management
Our turf management program includes an annual plan for your yard specifically. Yes it can be general but very specific at the same time. We care about your yard. We want to get results. We also are not in a hurry to do so. We treat your yard 11 of the 12 months. We have found that a little bit a lot goes a long way to get results.
We treat your yard on a schedule so that you get the best results.
Included in the Turf Management Annual Plan:
- Pre-Emergent in February (if weather permits)
- Fertilizer in April, June, July, August, October, and November,
- Weed Control - we use Q4 plus to kill crabgrass and all other weeds.
- Aerate - Aerating is done each August before seeding.
- Seeding - We seed the lawn each Septemner
- Winterize - Each December we give the lawn what it needs.
- New lawn seeding - Can be done March-December. Requires a lot from the homeowner.
- Grub Control - we can provide grub control to help remove grubs

From the Owner
We are a family ran business. We serve customers to meet their lawn care needs. We truly do serve. I was built to serve and God gave me a career where I get to do that every day. When I say I care, I do. I want to provide a service that not only I am proud of but that the customer is proud to show off. I also want to respect the budget of the customer. I try my hardest to keep the customer and their budget a priority.
I treat my employees with respect. I pay them competitively but more importantly I want them to be a part of their family, have free time, have hobbies, and have a life.
I have been doing this my entire life (since I was 12). I love what I do. I love my employees and honestly I love my customers. I could not have done any of this without those two in my life.
I am also thankful for my wife and kids who have had to put up with the life of a business owner.
Overall I am thankful and I am blessed.
